A custom home is an expression of how those people view life. What is most important to them, what they spend their time doing and how they do it. It becomes an insight into how they view and live life. The home shapes how they interact with their most important people in their life.

We want to be a firm that translates those values from our client into a home that they can experience in their daily lives and invite others to experience them. A home is a way of life, it is not only a building.

Design is a way of looking at the world

Designing buildings is like creating a system that guides people how to live and interact. Those interactions have the potential to influence people physically, through the tactile experience of the material and emotionally through the configuration of the elements that create the feeling of the space.

We would like to create spaces that allow people to function with freedom and comfort, but inspire an appreciation for living and working in a space that speaks about who they are.

If it’s a home that we are designing for a family, we want to capture exactly how they dream of living, how they come together, how that home can make them a better family. If we are designing an escape for a couple, how the building shapes the feeling of escape and how it guides them to come together as a couple. From entertaining friends to bringing the groceries in from the car, a building either makes it easier or harder, we want to create spaces that contribute to the experience of living a life that is designed for the needs of our clients.

Living and working in a space is so much more than just what the space looks like. We want to carefully merge the functional necessity of what a space needs to work and the emotional inspiration that a beautiful space can give. Its not just a responsibility to the people using the building but also the people and environment around the building.

Sustainability, as a principle, is key to the world we live in. Designing buildings that use the natural environment as the inspiration and engine for how the building works, is essential in creating a building for its unique site. Natural light, natural air flow and the orientation of the site are fundamental design tools that drive all of our designs. Passive design not only contributes to the reduction of energy consumption but uses the site as a driver for how the building responds to its context. Sustainability and passive design decisions contribute to a building that is apart of its context and respects the environment which we inhabit.

Partnering with us

At Eyoh Design we want to be apart of realizing your dream of a new building or space, from the beginning to the end.

We will formulate a concept with you, develop the dream and help ensure that all the time we spent with you in the design process comes to life on site.

We will put all the drawings together and manage all the different people that come together to have a complete drawing set to be submitted into the city.

We will draw and design every wall of your new building and capture the interior design that speaks the same language as your building.

We will then help shape the landscape that is seen from every window and forms your interaction with nature.

We aim at being a full service firm that offers a holistic view on the entire project, from first concept sketch to placing the final piece of art on the wall.

Ultimately we are a part of every aspect of your building, this ensures a clear concept and vision is carried through both the design process and brought to life in the build.
